In the woods Pipì, Pupù and Rosemary meet a mole who tells them he’s got a guest staying in his den and – guess what? – it’s none other than Mapà! The three friends ask to be taken there, but when they arrive at the mole’s place, there’s no one home. Coming out again, some fireflies tell them they saw Mapà go that way and Pipì, Pupù and Rosemary hastily take leave of the mole to rush off after Mapà. As soon as they’ve said goodbye, however, the mole starts to cry because he doesn’t want to be left alone. When Pipì tells him he won’t be alone because he could make friends with the bird of Paradise, the mole says the bird of paradise won’t even talk to him because it’s much too haughty. Rosemary then comes up with the idea to dress the mole up as a peacock. When they introduce the peacock to the bird of paradise, the latter is totally charmed and wowed by its beauty and desperately wants to befriend it. Thus Pipì, Pupù and Rosemary can happily hit the road again, searching for Mapà.
