The last animals awaken from hibernation. Toad, still rather sleepy, follows his instincts and makes his way back to his birthplace in the Talerwald. Only when a lovely lady toad hops across his path does he get other ideas. Meanwhile, the animal parents proudly watch their young grow up. They must now learn to recognize dangers themselves and protect themselves from them.
