The film producer, screenwriter, director and occasional actor Veith von Fürstenberg (born 1947) is one of the most important personalities of Young German Cinema. In 1971, he founded the film distribution company Filmverlag der Autoren with Hark Bohm, Wim Wenders, Volker Vogeler, Hans W. Geissendörfer and others. He himself made only a few feature films, including "Furchtlose Flieger" (1971), "Feuer und Schwert - Die Legende von Tristan und Isolde" (1982) - and "Ein bisschen Liebe" (1974). Now von Fürstenberg produced a "reloaded" version of this film. To this he wrote: "(reloaded)??? What does that mean??? In 1974, without money, I shot a film, EIN BISSCHEN LIEBE, in 16mm, black and white, which Wim Wenders produced with me with claims against the Filmverlag der Autoren, a film in which our friend Robby Müller, the now deceased, The film was edited by the equally legendary editor Peter Pryzgodda, who has unfortunately also passed away. Max Zihlmann, author of the first Klaus Lemke and Rudolf Thoma films, wrote the film with me. Pretty, with enchanting, light humor, but unfortunately unusable already because of its format. BETTY (Brigitte Berger) and NICK (Burghard Schlicht) fall out during their honeymoon. During a turbulent night in Munich they go their separate ways. NICK makes friends with the bum KÖHLER (Marquard Bohm), and BETTY has to deal with her father SCHNETZLER (Gregor von Rezzori). Only weeks later BETTY and NICK find each other again in a plane to Brazil, but only for the time being, as will be shown. Over forty years later, I curiously wanted to explore the untouched whereabouts of the footage in my attic and discovered irreparable damage. Necessary cuts would have torn contexts apart without new additions. So I wondered what would have become of BETTY and NICK today, and decided, again without money but with the possibilities of digital film editing, to "reload" their fates and add them to the film in color. I myself had two small appearances in the film in 1974 as hitchhiker TIMM, and TIMM became filmmaker TIMM BECKER, who in color as narrator helps to unravel the tangles since 1974, which also with his help requires your full attention. But worth it."
