Endless beaches, a mild climate and, of course, Copenhagen's Little Mermaid statue. This is Denmark. But the small country also boasts primeval forests where red deer, wild boars and cranes live. In the Danish waters of the Baltic Sea, grey seals cavort on the sandbanks. Acclaimed natural history specialist Jan Haft travels into the hidden forests of Jutland where rare species such as peregrine falcons breed.
